Internet Helper Toolbar is yet another fake anti-spyware program from the same family of viruses as Security Master AV and My Security Engine. Removal of such a virus is of utmost importance based on the way it attempts to steal your money, and more importantly, your identity. This badware alerts you constantly that your PC is infected with spyware, adware, and keyloggers, and that you should install a full version of Internet Helper Toolbar to clean your computer. It’s a complete scam, and if you download this badware, your computer will slow to a crawl and put your identity at danger.

The reason you have to uninstall Internet Helper Toolbar quickly is because if given the time, it will bloat your PC full of files, and will open your computer up to further infections. It will run itself every time you start your computer, and sap you of your productivity. Here are some sample alerts that you will receive.

“Warning! Virus detected

Threat Detected: Trojan-PSW.VBS.Half. Description: This is a VBScript-virus. It steals user’s passwords,” and “Memory access problem! WindowsErrorForm has encountered a problem at address 0x1FC408.

We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you see this error again, operational information can be irrevocably lost.”

You can get rid of Internet Helper Toolbar either manually or automatically. Manual removal is only suggested for PC experts or IT technicians. To do so, you will delete associated registry keys in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder and HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT folder, you then will unregister DLLs associated with the virus, delete files and folders associated, and block related websites. A full listing of files to look for can be found on my website.

Automatic removal is not only easier, but it also has an added benefit. Sure, everyone would rather click a couple of times to clean their computer, and it’s why I suggest automatic removal to friends, family, and businesses, but even MORE importantly, automatic removal software that I recommend protects the user’s computer against future viruses. No longer must you worry about what you’re downloading or what site you’re visiting. Active protection means 100% protection.
